If you or a senior loved one are applying for coverage under the Arizona Long Term Care System (also known as ALTCS) to help pay for assisted living or nursing home care, you need to make sure not only that you or your senior loved one are eligible for ALTCS, but also that the communities that you or a loved one want to move to also accept ALTCS payments. While many communities throughout Arizona accept ALTCS payments, a community must apply and be accepted by the state in order to receive ALTCS payments and so there are some communities that do not accept ALTCS. This is why it’s so important to confirm whether a community accepts ALTCS if you will need the extra help to make your monthly senior care payments.

One of our favorite communities in the Phoenix metro-area that accepts ALTCS coverage is Mariposa Point at Algodon Center. Located in Phoenix, Mariposa Point at Algodon Center offers top-quality assisted living, memory care, and respite care options. Mariposa Point is pet friendly and includes several award-winning amenities including multiple dinings areas and a beauty salon/spa.

The Palazzo

Another incredibly popular ALTCS-approved community in central-Phoenix is The Palazzo. The Palazzo is a Continuing Care Community offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The care programs at The Palazzo are designed to accommodate its resident’s needs, providing round-the-clock care, social activities, and delicious and nutritious meals.  

Rose Court Senior Living

Address: 2935 N. 18th Pl. Phoenix, Arizona 85016.

Heading closer to downtown Phoenix we find Rose Court Senior Living, which provides both assisted living and memory care options. With its picturesque settings, including its beautiful garden and patio area, Rose Court Senior Living provides its residents excellent care and a host of amenities including a resident-run Country Store and bocce and pickleball courts.

‍The Terraces of Phoenix

Address: 7550 N. 16th Street Phoenix, Arizona 85020.

Located right between the highly desirable Phoenix and Scottsdale areas is The Terrace of Phoenix, an incredibly popular ALTCS-approved community. The Terraces of Phoenix are a Human Good community, who are one of the largest and most reputable owners and operators of senior living communities around the country. The Terraces of Phoenix offer a wide range of care options, including residential living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory support.

Fellowship Square Phoenix

Address: 11818 N 19th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85029.

A part of the larger Fellowship Square network of Care Communities, Fellowship Square Phoenix provides skilled rehabilitation and long-term care services. Fellowship Square Phoenix has several healthcare programs including post-surgical and post-hospital care, long-term skilled care, and attending physician care.

Majestic Villa

Address: 8236 North 57th Drive, Glendale, AZ 85302.

Heading over to Glendale, Arizona we find Majestic Villa, an incredibly popular ALTCS-approved senior living community. Majestic Villa offers its residents a comfortable, convenient, and hassle-free lifestyle. In addition to providing assisted living care services, Majestic Villa has a variety of service options and amenities. Majestic Villa is also known for its incredibly friendly staff, who are always available to answer any questions you might have.

Glencroft Center for Modern Aging

Another incredibly popular ALTCS-approved senior living community is Glencroft Center for Modern Aging located in Glendale, Arizona. Glencroft Center for Modern Aging provides a wide range of care options, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and long-term care and rehabilitation. Glencroft Center for Modern Aging has several things that make it unique, including its long history of providing excellent care to its residents and status as the largest continuum of care retirement community in Arizona.

Woodland Palms Memory Care 

Address: 1020 N. Woodland Ave. Tucson, Arizona 85711.

For a memory care focused ALTCS-approved community, one very popular option is Woodland Palms Memory Care located in Tucson, Arizona. Woodland Palms Memory Care has a variety of wellness programs designed to provide care for its residents by giving them access to physical, social, and educational programs. These True North Programs, including the Brain Boost Nutrition and True North Yoga, help Woodland Palms Memory Care residents stay healthy and social.

Yuma Nursing Center

Address: 1850 West 25th Street Yuma, Arizona 85364.

Located in Yuma Arizona, Yuma Nursing Center is an incredibly popular ALTCS-approved community known for its high level of care for its residents. In fact, Yuma Nursing center has been ranked as a five-star quality measured facility by Medicare, marking it as a top-flight nursing home. Yuma Nursing Center provides around-the-clock care and its La Promesa Memory Care program provides residents with access to registered and licensed nursing staff with specialized memory care training.  

River’s Edge Assisted Living‍

Address: 2050 S. 4th Ave. Yuma, Arizona 85364.

Sticking in the Yuma area we have another incredibly popular ALTCS-approved community, River’s Edge Assisted Living. River’s Edge Assisted Living provides 24-hour staffing to care for its assisted living residents, as well as providing exercise and social programs to help promote resident wellness. Along with being a popular community, River’s Edge Assisted Living’s website also provides some helpful resources such as a blog and their e-books.

‍Visions Assisted Living and Memory Care

Address: 537 South Higley Road Mesa, Arizona 85206.

With locations in both the Mesa and Apache Junction area, Visions Assisted Living are two popular ALTCS-approved senior living communities. Visions Assisted Living at Mesa provides both assisted living and memory care options. 

Fellowship Square Historic Mesa‍

Address: 35 West Brown Road Mesa, Arizona 85021.

Fellowship Square Historic Mesa is just one of the many popular Fellowship Square senior living communities found throughout the Phoenix metro-area. Fellowship Square communities are incredibly popular due to their long history of providing excellent care to their senior residents. Fellowship Square Historic Mesa is one particularly popular location, offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care all on one beautiful campus.

The Woodmark at Sun City

The Woodmark at Sun City offers independent living, assisted living, and memory care as well as short-term respite care. The Woodmark at Sun City’s beautiful campus and high-level of care make it an incredibly popular senior living destination, particularly for individuals living in nearby active adult communities who want to stay in the Sun City area.

Ventana Winds Retirement Community

Address: 12322 N. 113th Ave. Youngtown, Arizona 85363.

Sticking in the Sun City area we find Ventana Winds Retirement Community, located in Youngtown Arizona. Ventana Winds Retirement Community provides both assisted living and memory care options, and is conveniently located near many golf courses, great restaurants, and doctors offices. In addition, Ventana Winds is known for its family-friendly environment, beautiful amenities and resort-style dining.

Fairmont Village

Address: 10401 N. 79th Ave. Peoria, Arizona 85345.

The last senior living community on our list (but by no means the last great ALTCS-approved community in Phoenix!) is Fairmont Village located in Peoria, Arizona.
